While contemplating "Springing Ahead" this weekend I was thinking of my yard and garden plans.  Years ago I had a huge backyard pond, a smaller one and 2 naturescape waterfalls. Not knowing if I'm going to remain in this house I don't want to do anything major.  This smaller pond idea fits the bill and the cost will be minimal.  More labor than anything which is a "Free" workout that pays off in more ways than one.  You ca buy stone or go the fun free route of scouring the river and creek beds.  Roofing rubber is a great choice for a liner and is much cheaper than pond liners in the garden stores.  Often they have scraps they sell off cheap.

What do you think of this?  Is it a project you would undertake?  Stay tuned for pics as I knock this out one of these weekends while the ground is soft and before it's too warm!
